Astana, May 15 – The First Kazakhstan–China Transport Forum is taking place in Astana, according to the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan.
“More than 300 representatives of the business community and transport and logistics companies from both countries are participating. The forum will feature B2B and G2B meetings. It is expected that the forum will become an annual event,” the statement said.
It was reported that during the forum, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the SPG Qingdao Port Group and Kazakhstan’s Port of Kuryk.
According to the statement, the parties intend to expand cooperation in the planning and development of ports, operational and management processes, the construction of smart and environmentally friendly ports, workforce training, process improvement, and productivity enhancement.
