ABOUT THE PROJECT
The objective of the project is to establish a transport and logistics hub that can support trade and export activities while implementing the transit potential of the Kazakhstan.
The project envisions the training and international certification of local aviation specialists and the development of small cargo aviation within Kazakhstan.
Key Transit Hub
Geopolitical factor – potential to become Central Asia’s key transit hub between Europe and Asia, and between Asia and the United States, thanks to its strategic geographical location and developed infrastructure, particularly within the “Khorgos – Eastern Gate” SEZ on the border with China.
Economic Impact
The project will enable the export of locally manufactured goods to China, Europe, Central Asia, and the United States, while increasing transit volumes through the Khorgos border crossing.
The new airport project is being developed from the outset, the airport is designed in accordance with ESG principles and LEED standards

HANSA Consortium – a CJG brand uniting specialized companies with long-term experience to deliver infrastructure projects in niche markets. Holds 49% of the joint venture.

4,650m long, 75m wide runway with taxiways and apron designed to handle modern E and F category aircraft
Passenger Terminal
Capacity of 50 passengers/hour (~500,000/year), ensuring efficient flight operations
Cargo Terminal & Railway dead end
Cargo terminal with personal parking and railway dead end, provides handling up to 250,000 tons/year
Fuel Storage
Fuel storage facility for Jet A-1 and SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) with a projected capacity of up to 200,000 tons per year, designed according to a zero-emission principle
Maintenance Hangars
Maintenance hangars are designed for servicing and repairing C-category aircraft, providing the necessary infrastructure for MRO operations
Hotel & Business Center
The hotel complex includes 110 rooms and 40 apartments, complemented by a modern business center with an area of 4,900 m², ensuring comfortable accommodation and convenient workspaces for the airport’s business guests
ATC Tower
The air traffic control tower, equipped with an instrument landing system (ILS), advanced CAT III lighting system, and modern meteorological equipment, ensures safe airport operations under all weather conditions
